Guildess volunteers at Daystar

December 28, 2010

On December 20th, 2010 Guildess distributed handmade greeting cards created by local artists and presented a workshop on making your own greeting cards at Daystar.

Daystar is a long-term transitional home for women who are homeless because of domestic abuse. They provide shelter and support services to survivors of domestic abuse that allows them to regain their confidence and self-esteem and to break the chain of violence in the lives. Daystar provides women with the tools to become financially stable and emotionally independent.

Here are a few examples of the cards created by the women of Daystar.

Guildess would like to give a warm thanks to volunteers Kileigh Hannah and Jacqueline Lindo who joined us for the day.
